l can not sleep or eat.l was in tears last night.l had to go back on medication for this.l am so mad at myself.l am a conservative republican but l am sure people on the other side are worried to.l just want it to be over.The only thing l can control is my vote.

It is just hard because l have all these doomsday people around me saying the world is going to end if Obama is elected or that he is the anti-Christ.l am a Christian but still l am tired of hearing it.

No, no anxiety about the election. But you are right, the only thing you can control is your own vote. l figure what will happen, will happen. We have survived 8 years of that idiot GW Bush, we can survive anything. Have faith in the American people. Do not worry, it will all work out okay - no matter who is elected.

Texasgirl there has always been anxiety associated with election years. It just seems to be the natural course of things. Why, people, by & large, r afraid of what that change will do to their lives & there is always change. Sometimes change is for the good sometimes it is not.
What makes this election worse is that there is no clear candidate, republican or democrat that really has the answer we r seeking.
We r the American public & we need help is our cry but none of the candidates has the answer nor will they ever.
Texasgirl there is only one place to turn for help during this messed up election year & His name is Father God. When no one else has the answer He speaks words of comfort to us.
Listen to this & let it comfort you.

God is our refuge & strength,
an ever-present help in trouble.
2 Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way
and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea,
3 though its waters roar & foam
and the mountains quake with their surging. Ps 46:1-3 NIV

Texasgirl, having that assurance is the best medicine we can take. Take it often & let it fill ur mind. Refuse to dwell on the gloom & doom that people & the media r selling..

One last word of encouragement it is found in God is Word in Phil 4:6-7

6 Do not fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions & praises shape ur worries into prayers, letting God know ur concerns. 7 Before u know it, a sense of God is wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come & settle u down. It is wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of ur life.
