ive had deppression for 2years now and cannot take it any more l cut myself l make myself sick just so l can feel good l dont no why im like this but ive lost all interest in everything that l ever loved eg family my horses friends, l think about ending my life everyday and plan it in my head im not happy and l just wanna be able to smile and for once smile becuase its real l wanna be happy im always stressed for no reason l always feel down and upset and ive turned to drugs to make me feel better cuas there the only thing that can make me happy l dont see any good in life l need help becuase these thoughts are getting serious and so is my drugs use .. what do l do ?? help please ??

First of all, to the first response from l Vote Joe.it is people like u who make people in this type of situation feel worse. Have u ever heard of the term ''helpful experience''? This is what this person needs. Not someone to tell her to see a doctor! But l suppose u could just go & do that, you're probably ''white'' & rich enough to, so go drug up & leave the rest of the clinically depressed world alone since u do not want to be of any help.
To the question. It sounds a lot like severe depression. But it could also just be ur hormones because u r at that age when they r still trying to level out due to puberty. Or it could be a mix of the two. Instead of looking to the RX world to fix this, u really should talk to someone first, a school counselor, a friend - if u feel close enough to them. What will help break the ice is if u write out what is wrong, what you're experiencing. Then when it comes time to seek out help u can either read what u wrote or give it to whomever you're speaking with. l really do hope that things get better for you. :)

good morning :o) i know u this is hard-b/c u struggle alot-but u r also trying to reach out-please, please, for the LOVE of GOD go see a doctor you have a chemical imbalance in ur brain they can give u medications that can help and, l know this will be hard to accept but God is with u & He loves u -He has help for you-please reach out & take it you have to keep reaching out & accepting help please do not hurt yuourself there r people that will benefit from ''your'' help when u get better God bless you-find Faith & do not let go-

First of all, l really suggest u talk to a counsellor. Spill all ur problems out, think of them, & what caused the problem to take place. Look at ur life, how different is it from the past? Do not u want it to be the same again?
Do not turn to drugs for happiness. They do not make u happy.it is the chemical reaction/effect of the drug that makes u ''high'', but it is laughter that makes u happy. Drugs makes u ''happy'' for 10 minutes, while a joke can make u laugh for a long time, & it will make u laugh again when u recall it in future.
Secondly, look outside the window. Look at the wonderful world outside. You have a whole life ahead of you, & l understand that u really want to help yourself because u r willing to share ur problems here, & have the guts to admit that u use drugs. You do want to be happy & drug-free, do not you?
Do not cut yourself. Before u feel like cutting myself, think of the reason why u want to cut yourself. Do u want to release the pain? Cutting is never a way to release the pain. And neither is using physical pain to distract yourself from emotional pain. Then, think of why u should not cut yourself. It will leave scars, it hurts, u do not deserve the cuts.
''Life is about the struggle, not triumph''. l believe u can do it, u will stop using drugs & carry on living as a healthy, happy person. All u need is a little push. Make more friends, smile more. Laugh at jokes, look outside the window to see the beautiful world, to see all the fun stuff u can do.

First go to a phsychologist. They will figure out if your really depressed. Then start reading the bible. Relize that there is something more. You just have to beleive. Do not end your life. Start it.

When people blame 'hormones' for depression it is really irritating. Depression in teenagers is just as serious as depression in adults. Cutting helps, l know it really feels like it does & l know that in ur current state of mind it is hard to see a future but sometimes think about the scars u will be left with. The explanations. Please get professional help, if u do not find the right person/medication (hopefully both) the first time round, do not give up! You have to keep trying because when u find that person who can help it is lifechanging. Try to confide in a friend or family member who u truly trust who can help support you. Good Luck

If you've had depression for 2 years, it must be really terrible for you. You really need to see a school counsellor as a start. Talking to other people can help, but when u r seriously depressed, not even the best, most helpful friend can help you.
l do not like medicines, but if ur brain chemicals r out of balance, medicines may be necessary. l know people who have tried everything else, but only medication has worked. They have wondered why they did not try them sooner. On the other hand, if it is not too serious, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy could help you. It teaches u to think in another way.
Yoga & relaxation techniques can also help, but l am afraid, after 2 years, it would probably be in conjunction with medication.
In Australia u can contact the 'Beyond Blue' helpline which gives excellent phone counselling, but l do not know where u are. Look in ur phone book to see if there is anything similar where u live.
Whatever u do, remember, the sooner u get help, the sooner u can make a faster, fuller recovery & have better health

This is seriously hard especially since ur only 16. l had & still have those moments where the feelings of depression get so intense that l find myself trying to do the same thing. l have cut myself, pierced myself, beat walls, the only thing l have not done was do drugs, they just were not for me. l like to have control over how l feel even somewhat.
The first thing u have already done. You know that there is a problem & that the feelings r much too intense & that u need help.
You need to find a therapist, this is step 2. You need someone who understands, someone to talk to. It does not mean that u need to take pills, u just need to talk & find out what the rock is & why u cant move around it or through it. This step is a lot harder, because now u have to admit to other people. Be careful on who u tell because they can cause problems for u when it seems like they want to help.
You r a brave soul, keep being brave & keep fighting. Fight for you, there is a reason why u feel the way u do. Later in life u would come to grips with that & maybe u r to help other with the same problems/feelings that u have. No one here can tell u what to do, it is all up to you. Good luck & write it out if need be.
