Have they improved your shifting mood signficantly?

In my case, yes, my mood stabilizing pills have made a significant difference. l am more able to control anger and depression. l think l must have found a very good doctor (psychiatrist)

yea they sort of work, with BPD medication only works to a certain extent so that and therapy work well together

yes they do work, they level out the peaks and raise the troughs although there are two things to remember 1, they take a few weeks to start to work, 2 there are so many different types the first one may not suit you,and may have to try others, but stick with it, im sure you be much better in the end, you may just need a bit of patients

they didnt for me.
but everyones different and l couldnt be bothered with it all so l just didnt bother getting stronger mood stabilizers.
Which to make anything to work you have to wait be patient, and meet half way.

yes my bipolar mood are now more manageable and not as destructive

l think its a case of yes & no for me; l have to have an injection (contraceptive) once every three months, not only for contraceptive purposes, but for some women, having no periods (it stopped them in my case) actually helps control my moods. Beforehand, l was very violent & aggressive, suffering from extreme PMS. Now my moods r minimal since being on it, except when l am unwell mentally.

l recently came off Venlafaxine medication. l didnt find it helped at all being on it, in fact l cried alot. When l came off it suddenly, l went very manic & had bags of energy which lasted for days, which was very odd for me. The best mood stabilizer which worked for me was Flueoxitine. l felt generally better in myself & was able to concerntrate on my studies.

l am currently on no medication, & my moods r so so, some days terrible, others r ok. l may decide to go back on it soon though, for concerntration purposes & for helping my moods.
