can someone clearly explain what that is, and can it come from the um d.e.v.!.l?

Schizophrenia can display itself in a variety of ways, but it is basically someone losing touch with reality. Since the devil comes to kill, steal and destroy, I'd say it is possible that he could be part of the cause of mental illnesses.

Schizophrenia is a mental illness that causes you to hear and see things that are not present. Can cause you to become affraid of everyting. The brain would not operate correctly. Will make you go out of controll and not see the world the way it should be viewed. Its the most extreme mental illnesses you can get. Schizophrenia can be developed before birth or later in young adulthood.

There is also an excellent book, ''Surviving Schizophrenia: A Manual for Families, Patients, & Providers'' by E. Fuller Torrey, Fifth Edition. l know Barnes & Noble has it. That is very good reading & tells a lot about schizophrenia.

Schizophrenia is a severe to mild neuropsychiatric disorder that involves hallucinations, social withdrawal & other severe problems. There r several types. Look up ''schizophrenia'' in a ! web search for much more info on these diseases. Wikipedia has a good summary. By the way it is not due to the Devil (or God) as one answerer implied. Schizophrenia is not a disease. Presently, science does not know the cause of the symptoms & should not be assuming it is a mental illness, yet they come right out & say it.

In antiquity they thought that those with the symptoms of schizophrenia were possessed by the devil. This due to the fact that many of the symptoms were, & r today, viewed negatively. As a matter of fact, most of the symptoms of schizophrenia r caused by a spirit - a good spirit. Like a parent who disciplines a child, or a coach that yells at his or her players, they r often looked at negatively by those under their boot. Sometimes a child will be angry at a parent. Generally, it is the parent that is correct & the child that needs the discipline. So, a good parent, a good coach, & a good spirit, is one that tends to be a bit harsher than normal when it is appropriate. l am not talking about some of the symptoms view as hallucinatory (seeing & hear things), l am talking about when they (those diagnosed with schizophrenia) become withdrawn & unproductive. These behaviors r looked upon negatively, but they r often instilled by the spirit on the host so that the individual will be saved.

In other words, it is very easy to sin in our present existence, & sometimes a spirit might have to debilitate an individual to save his or her soul. Those diagnosed with schizophrenia r some of the saints written of in the scriptures, & the spirit that is keeping them humble is the so-called Holy Spirit.

So simply put, those diagnosed wit schizophrenia r actually saints. Their symptoms r generally of a supernatural origin. When they exhibit symptoms such as lack of productivity & become withdrawn it is generally because they need discipline & need to remain humble to save their soul.
