Hi, l have been suffering on and off with Depression, OCD and Anxiety is it normal for some days to make you feel like your Brain isnt working. Today l woke up feeling realy fed up, the front of my head aches, were the frontal lobes are which is said not to be working proberly in people with Mental illness, l find l get forgetful, not with it, in a dream world, get Anxiousl easily, feel isolated and alone, paranoid, bored, fed up. Dont know who l am? Help??

Chill out. Yeah, l have depression & anxiety. Some days r allright & other days r a nightmare. Do not know why, that is just how it is. Just keep up meds & counselling ( l hope u r doing at least one of these). Evntually u will start have more good days than bad, & eventually, bad days will be rare. Promise. But u must be committed to getting better, & make an EFFORT.

Oh & the frontal lobe headache is irrelevant. It is just a tension headache caused by stress. Relax.

Hi Ads, Yup l think most of us who live with depression get days where we feel like we're not really ''with it'' as soon as we wake up. Stress & depression can cause psychical aches & pain, including headaches. Its one of the symptoms of depression so try not to be too alarmed.

l find going for nice long walks help me to feel better when my mood is very low, & it doesnt cost anything. Why not look on Mind & Rethink is websites to see if they run any social support groups in ur area. It would help to deal with ur feelings of isolation. I've been to a Mind group in the past & got to do some really interesting activities to take my mind off everything.

Hi. l have bipolar disorder, and the reason your brain does not feel it is working right is because it isn't. See your doctor. Some things you described should be brought to his/her attention. You may need a meds adjustment.

When u get anxious it can make u feel detatched from the world, as if youre not really a part of it at all, some of it can be caused by overbreathing (without hyperventilating).
And its not parts of ur brain that r not working, yur brain is working but u feel as if it isnt because u know how u 'should' be as opposed to how u r feeling, when we suffer with anxiety we feel more aware of every little change in ourselves & it can sometimes seem alarming.
Anxiety can take over sometimes. Do something to take ur mind off it, like read a book or watch Tv or go & see a friend. Remember these r just symptoms that will pass. Also, when u feel disconnected like that u r actually very unlikey to have a panic attack, it is another way of yur mind to process the anxiety, because it is stressed & over worked, & it comes out in this way. Your headaches r another symptom of stress - ur body is on constant red alert. You need to do something to break the cycle. Try hypnotherapy, see ur GP about medication like lorazepam or diazepam for short term respite. Tell them ur symptoms r unbearable & u need a break from it to help u cope with it. That may help u to get the pillls u need.
