Because that happened to me twice this morning...l woke up...l could see and everything...but l could not move. I am pretty sure there is a term for it, but l forgot what it is. Help?

It is called sleep paralysis. When l get it, it is usually accompanied by visions or a sense of a ghost being present. Watch out for that, it is very common, but very scary! Even now that l know what it is l get scared until l can move.

Sleep Paralysis..This happens to me when l am stressed out. Some episodes are worse than others (the feeling of suffocation, heaviness of the body, the feeling of an evil presence, and even audio and visual hallucinations.) One time my body felt like there were electrical currents going thru me, although it did not hurt. It IS a medical sleep condition but some have it mildly and some have it worse.. l even read somewhere that it is hereditary.

It could be myopathy or periodic paralysis you have described.
