l have a prescription for Ativian 0.5 and it says on the bottle to take 1-2 every 4 hours if needed. Can l take 3 pills every 4 hours? Because it is losen it is effectiveness.
l have a surgery in 2 weeks and just do not wanna be really nervous. l was wondering if l could take 3 pills of 0.5 sometimes to help me calm down. It wo not kill me right?
l do not believe I am addicted because l rarely take the pill. l only take the pill before a doctor is appointment. Very seldom. l just think that if and when my nerves get bad enough prior to my surgery l should take 3 pills instead of 2.

NO! stop now! serioiusly, u r addicted! dont take more than prescribed! ur going to end up in the e.r. from an overdose just like l did! believe me, Throw ur pills away until u seee the doc. seriously, throw them outside, bury them, something please!


Edit - No. You may not think ur addicted, but u r because u said yourself its not helping u anymore. l didnt want to believe it either & made ''excuses'' like u saying l didnt take it often & what not. It IS an addiction though.

Please, DO NOT take it until u consult ur doctor. He will up or down the dose & may even take u off of it & put u on cymbalta or lexapro for anxiety, since its long term & not addicting. DO NOT take 3 pills please. You will seriously regret it when u wake up with a tube down ur throat.

Edit Again- Something as little as .5 increase can end u up with permanent health problems & could even cause u to have a heart attack since .25 on its own slows down ur heart ALOT.

Edit Times 3 lol - Ask him to switch u to Xanax .5 instead. Its a different type, is the same mg, but some poeple respond differently to each. ativan is stronger, but xanax hits home for most.

Edit times 4 - im sorry but im really really REALLY scared for people on it from what happened to me! it was horrible waking up in a hospital, restrained, tubes, police, everything, doctors & nurses going crazy asking me what happened. its not good! please please please be careful.

talk to your doctor about it so maybe he can give a stronger medicine

Avitan are way more sedating then Valium so you should not really be taking more than you are supoosed to. You will very easily run the risk of becoming addicted.
