l can not seem to go one month without shedding a tear...I am HIGHLY sensitive & empathetic literally l can cry on demand or cry with someone its like l can emotionally feel what they go through. Lately i've been getting upset with my b/f of 7 years and crying a lot like when he leaves to have fun with his friends and does not call or something dumb like that l throw these tantrums and will seriously sob for like 2 hours like a jilted high school girl & it also happens when l argue with my immediate family members. It does not only happen on my periods so l dont think its that, I've never been abused as a child or anything i've just been feeling so weepy and sometimes l feel like l have no self esteem left at all for the past 2 years l would say this happens about 4-5 times a month and the rest of the time im fine l laugh a lot and enjoy my lil life over here l make the people around me laugh all the time its just l can not seem to shake these tears and this sad feeling what is wrong with me? do l need to be on medication? am l lacking some kind of magic happy chemical in my brain?
It is becoming a drain on me and my boyfriend he is almost completely immune to my tantrums anymore and l do not wanna put anyone l love through that l don;t know what to do

sounds chemical to me. u might have some case postpartum depression.. u may research more about it. but then again u might just be an very emotional & sensitive girl who needs someone who is more sensitive to ur feelings. but when reasons such as what u specified is reason enough then look into yourself & break down all the triggers to ur crying. 1 by 1 enumerate & logically tell yourself if u really have to feel the way u do. speaking of happy chemicals or endorphins u DO NOT need medication!!!! just jog or do some exercise.that will release the endorphins. some people say exercise is beneficial to us only when we reach at leat 30 minutes of physical workout.

Perfect health is having good physical health, good emotional health, mental health, & spiritual health. Instead of a chemical imbalance u sound more like u have an emotional imbalance. Albert Einstein once said that insanity is doing the same thing over & over again & expecting a different outcome. Whatever u r doing now is not working so think about some healthy changes, one action at a time. Eat something healthy, make some tea, take a warm bath, learn about meditation, & so on. Let ur attention go to ur healthy actions & before u know it things will fall back in balance. One good healthy choice at a time.

Hi. l am not an expert, but l have been through a similar experience on the male side. My daughter also suffered with melancholy & feelings of anxiety for a number of years. she would frequently start crying, for what appeared to be, no reason whatsoever. What did help us both was to take time out for personal interests, aside from work. it can be a challenge to find things that interest only you. For my daughter it was taking some challenging courses. For me it has been writing. The benefits for us have been occupying the time we spend alone, which used to result in negative contemplation. Now l find that l look forward to those moments, & usually have something of interest to share with friends & family. It did not happen over night, but what it did make me realize is that, most of the time, the only person who can help us is ourselves. Hopefully with the understanding of those around us.

You may have already done this, but perhaps it would be possible for u to share ur concerns with ur loved ones, but make sure u express ur desire to find a solution. Do not expect them to have the , but just ask for their patience & understanding.

l hope that some of this helps & wish u all the best.
K.
