I am only 14 and obviously l live with my parents, I am the only one with OCD in my family, l inherited it from my grandma and her house has no clutter in sight, l would not call my house unfit to live it, from time to time theres an odd crumb pile here or there but the thing that bothers me the most is - the stuff! My family have too much stuff!! and not enough storage. As soon as someone sees my room they think l have OCD because everything is put away and if it is not...l can not sleep!! My mum does not really help that much, she spends most of the time on the computer and when l complain to her - she gets annoyed and says why do not l just clean. l try to clean but end up getting sad because no matter how much l do it just goes back to the same. Some days l do not mind but others l just can not stand it. When l wake up in the mornings l dread heading downstairs,

What can l do to stand the mess? l mean, my brother seems to not mind at all.

l know the feeling and can not stand clutter. I've got a bit better with age, but was never obsessive.
The only thing you can do until you have your own place is keep your room to suit you and go hang to what anyone else says or thinks.
Go easy on your Mum, just accept you are different. When you have a home and maybe a family you will understand how much your Mum needs to sit down and ignore the clutter.
