okay my best friend wants me to go to her mom is bf cabin house in the woods.l wanna go but l dont cause l have anxiety really bad about this kind of stuff so l dont know what to do.

i wanna force myself to go but that just usually makes things worse.l mean just thinking about it is giving me a headache and im uncomfortable.How can l overcome my fear of going?l usually feel this way cause l am terrified of getting sick and also not being able to get away.HELP!

l used to have this socially crippling problem myself. l would explain to the friend about the problem, first. Then see how she reacts. If u feel that she will be supportive of ur issue, then give it a shot. l had to really try my hardest to really get my mind off of the anxiety, focus on a conversation, study a beautiful piece of art, just anything to get my mind off of unneccessarily worrying.
If all else fails, go to ur doctor & ask for citalapram, just 5mg a day will take the edge off without making u feel loopy or weird. Its only 4.00 a month at walmart too! l hope u have a great trip.

So your fear is not going to the cabin but getting sick and not being able to get to a doctor? l am confused. l am quite sure that if you got sick that your friends mom would get you the help you needed.
