l have incredibly low self esteem. l can not even look at myself in the mirror without feeling completely disgusted with myself. l often feel inferior to my peers, and l feel that l can not be myself. l think I am just...nothing compared to everyone else. I am often quiet because l do not want people to hear my voice, or watch me speak, or look at me at all. l can not take pictures of myself, because I am so afraid of looking at the picture. It is almost like...I am afraid of myself. Anything l do, l just can not stand. All of this, l just keep to myself. l do not think people really notice that l hate myself so much. l think l come across as a normal 15 year old girl to others...but l really feel like dying on the inside. l tried killing myself a year ago, and then again 2 years before that. l think it has a lot to do with my bad childhood...but l do not know.

Is this something that all teenagers go through, or is this a mental disorder that l need to get help with?

Most teenagers go through this ( l did as well) & though l am certaintly not a doctor, l am willing to bet that the only thing wrong with u is that u THINK u might have a mental disorder!

Everybody has a mental disorder these days.but really, we don't. It is normal life. l think u sound normal, from what you've said. If u go on medication or anything, it is probably just going to make ur life worse. The best thing u could do is to talk to a therapist about it if u WANT to do that, no psychiatric drugs, & do not let them convince u that there is something ''wrong'' with you. Just do not try to kill yourself anymore. Find something that takes ur mind off things, & u gotta just cope day by day.
