Panic attacks 7 days in a row

l do not understand why these are happening. l am scared to go to doctors because they pump you up on drugs. These attacks are so bad that l am on the floor freaking out thinking l am dieing. They come in waves in intensity. Is having them for so many days in a row mean l am getting an disorder? Is this normal for some panic attack sufferers? This sounds silly but a neighbor brought over 2 shots of whiskey and with in 10 minutes it leveled off. Thing is l can not drink and then drive of coarse so what do you do when you get one while driving? l almost crashed when one consumed me so bad that l lost all control my body and mind. l am in tears not knowing how to make this go away with out drugs from doctors.

My doctor put me on buspar or busparone(generic). It helps with panic disorders and crying. l have been on it for 2 years now and it really helps. It does not make you feel messed up at all.

Okay, well for someone with a panic disorder u sound pretty normal.
Panic Disorder sufferers usually have a series of intense episodes of extreme anxiety during panic attacks. These attacks typically last about ten minutes, but can be as short-lived as 1–5 minutes & last as long as twenty minutes or until medical intervention. However, attacks can wax & wane for a period of hours — panic attack rolling into another. They may vary in intensity & specific symptoms of panic over the duration (i.e. rapid heartbeat, perspiration, dizziness, dyspnea, trembling, psychological experience of uncontrollable fear, hyperventilation, etc.). Some individuals deal with these events on a regular basis; sometimes daily or weekly. The outward symptoms of a panic attack often cause negative social experiences (i.e. embarrassment, social stigma, social isolation, etc.). However, experienced sufferers can often have intense panic attacks with very little outward manifestations of the attack occurring.
SO this would infer that u most likely have a panic disorder, but to get rid of it u do need to go to the doctor & tell them that u do not want to be on drugs there is therapy that could really help u without any drugs. l went through it & u learn that nothing bad can actually happen to u when experiencing the feeling of panic. l get them all of the time & l just let it pass because l have had a lot of practice. You need to see a psychologist & go for cognative behavioral therapy that really helped me.

l get those a lot too. l do not drive though so l do not really know how to help u with the driving. id say if u feel one coming try to pull over to the side of the road until u calm down.

i too do not want to go to the doctors because l do not like taking medicine. what l do when i'm having a panic attack is l lay flat on the floor & try to think of like ice cream or something silly. l used to get them so badly l had no control over what l was doing, l could not breathe, l could not do anything.

if u have a friend or anyone around, ask them to rub ur back, that helps too.

l was having panic attacks for a while almost every day they put me on meds but l did not like the person l was on them so l told them to take me off of them but while l was on them l got to understand one big thing there just panic attacks not a heart attack if you tell your self this and understand whats going on then it will go away l do not have them much any more but when l do l can stop them in about ten minutes of so and be back normal

Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes ur Serotonin production to be low; when ur Serotonin level is low, u r more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.

Medication like Antidepressants (SSR l - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there r natural ways to do it without medication. There is this strange herb called ''St John is Wort'' - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only & ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety & panic-attacks as St John is Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.

The problem is that, even if ur Serotonin is balanced. u have that ''learned behavior'' in ur mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that u can use without CBT will be Distraction. There r several other techniques to help cope them!
