For the past 2 1/2 years l dealt with Kidney stone pain. For a long time l did not even know it was a kidney stone. l thought maybe it was muscular back pain. Last summer l had a Lithotripsy to break up a 7mm kidney stone.
Then recently l went for a follow up appointment to have an ultrasound to see if there were any kidney stones left. They found no kidney stones...what a relief. BUT...they found a 2cm GALL STONE in my gallbladder...I've never had an attack from that. l never knew l had a Gall stone until a week ago. Now that I've put an end to my kidney stone, l have Gallstone pain to look forward to. l have no idea how I've had Kidney stones and now a Gallstone. The Doctor said it is really common, but I am trying really hard to not be DEPRESSED?
Any advice? How can l not be depressed?
Yes l have an appointment this week and the doctor will tell me whether or not he will remove gallbladder.

There is no need to freak out, u wo not have to suffer long because the treatment for gall stones is removal of the gall bladder which ur doctor should be arranging now. Gall bladder removal is a very minor operation these days & u wo not be laid up long at all. They do not cut any muscle tissue so recovery is quick & u can live a perfectly long, normal life without ur gall bladder. let me congratulate u first by admitting about ur depression. You r ahead of the bunch. l say that because it took me 7 yrs to admit my depression. l have come to the other side & it was hard.

You will have people telling u that they r there for u & that life is short live it. But unless they have been there sometimes that makes it worse because they r not really listing to you, You have to take each day as it comes. There will be days that r fantastic & then u r going to have days were u wish u never got out of bed.

Then best thing l ever did & it took me 7yrs & that was to admit my depression. But seeing someone now is the next step forward to getting better. l can give u a few pointers. Whenever u r feeling down. Acknowledge it. Tell yourself that it is happening. Let people around u know. Watch an uplifting movie. Call a friend. Do these things.
