l wonder if he suffers from Bipolar disorder or some other psychological problem.l would like to get him help for all of us.

My ex had the same problem--terrible mood swings. He also had quite a temper. l felt as if l were living with Jekyll & Hyde. And walking on eggshells all the time. For years l wondered whether something was wrong with him, or he was just a part-time jerk. At one piont l even thought he might be bipolar. But only recently did l read up on Narcissistic Personality Disorder, & everything written on that subject, on every website, described him perfectly.

However, there can be many reasons why a man would have mood swings. And if he does, then the first thing to do is for him to make an appointment to see his physician to talk about the situation. The physician may have some ideas, or will refer him to someone who can help, such as a mental health counselor.

does he have any type of addiction? sometimes,people that have mood swings r very easily to become dependent on meds or drugs. in return they bad mood swings. there could be many reasons for his behavior. it would be best if he agrees to getting help. if he feels as if he has no problem, it wont do him a bit of good to go. do not mean to be rude but
its hard to live with someone that displays such behavior. u need some help for yourself & family, hope every thing works out.

Speaking from experience, your husband has to be ready to get help, you can not force him unless he is a danger to himself or your family.

l would investigate the symptoms on a reputable website (like a mental health association), and then see what they can maybe offer to you and your kids for support.

You can urge your husband to get help, and talk to him at a time when he is calm. Let him know how you feel -- and that you'd like to get help for all of you.

It is always a good time to get help for yourself, too. You are in an uncomfortable situation causing you great amounts of stress. You can always talk with someone if all else fails. coping skills are ok for everyone to learn about.

He is depressed. The economic climate, and other pressures may be the cause. Now u will laugh, but many men feel they get a bad deal with marriage as they give marriage for sex and women give sex for marriage. And we knows who collects first!
