l smoke, what l would say to be, a lot of weed. About 3 blunts a day (1.5 grams per blunt) Today is day 1 of no more marijuana. But l feel HORRIBLY depressed, frustrated, and intolerably bored. Suffering from insomnia, food taste like sh*t now and l am having a very difficult time being optimistic.

l quit because l think the psychoactive properties in the weed is screwing with my head. l feel really paranoid about everything. l draw the craziest conclusions out of nothing. idk...

My friend said not to quit, for it will make things worse. (he explained to me moderation is the way to go..but to be honest l feel weed is the root of my problems..seeing as all my main problems started around the time l picked up weed as a habit)

Or maybe l have some kind of disorder and weed is amplifying it. idk..but l just wanna be happy again =[ and btw when im high my social skills are pathetic. and now they seem to be bad when im sober.

l hope this blows away in a week and im back to normal!

well im no expert but im pretty sure your right and that this is only temporary and with time you should be back to normal!

Withdrawals can be very painful. Opiate withdrawals are the worst, but any kind can be uncomfortable. It takes such a long time because your system needs to return to a level that it was before your addiction. You body built up a tolerance and dependence to the drug and now, you need you body need to normalize. It will take a few days but will resolve on it is own.

It takes several days to detox & depends on the person. During
this time u have symptoms opposite of when u were high.
For instance, u used to want to eat a lot when high. During
detox u have no appetite. You used to sleep well when high.
During detox u have anxiety & sleep disorders. The paranoia
during a high will not go away with detox.

You might want to get professional help in a rehab. They will
detox u & check u to make sure u r ok during that
time & give u a month away from any temptations to try
marijauna again. They will promote exercise & sauna because
they both increase getting the toxins out of ur body.

l applaud u for doing this. Anybody who wants to go through
detox to get off an addictive drug is very strong. But do not feel
bad if u need professional help to do it.

There is no physical pain of quitting weed. There is only the mental state in which your mind wants to smoke. It is easy to quit. It wo not be hard unless your mental state takes over.
