I am overweight and I am terrified of eating at school or in public.
l feel like people are staring at me and thinking, ''why is she eating, she is already fat..''

is it normal to think like that..
i do starve myself on purpose.....

it is something you should try getting over.. l have a friend who is that way and not only can it be annoying, but makes her feel even worse about herself. You have to realize that not everyone is paying attention to only you.

no itd not..thought like this are what lead to an eating disorder..i struggled with anorexia for 5 years..u make not be starving yourself yet..but even giving yourself restrictions on who you can eat in front of will onset the disorder talk to a parent or anyone you can trust immediately..i know l may sound rash but trust me this is a serious thing

yes it is normal, we all go through it, we also all get over it in our own time, It took me untill l was around 23 to finally realize that l do not give a sh** what others thought, at that time l also discovered that other kids had more interesting things to look at and talk about other than me, so l got over myself, and thats what you need to do!!! Nothing anyone says or does has to effect who you become as an adult, we all learn that as soon as school is over!!!

It is normal, it is all part of the insecurities that come with being overweight.
It is funny that those who are overweight think that though, because while they think they're being judged, everyone else is being just as self-conscious. It is human-nature to fear criticism.

yes! it is so normal! im skinny, and l do not eat much, b/c im afraid to look like a pig! or get fat! maybe, try joining a gym if you want? hope l helped!

Well it is not un-normal l am sure a lot of people have fears just like that.but you really should not think that! You should be happy with the person you are and not care what other people think! You should be able to eat whatever you want in front of whoever! =]

l think a lot of people feel this way at times. l know l have. The best advice l can give you is to try and eat healthy and exercise. These things will make you feel good and your body will become the size it was meant to be. Do not worry about what other people are thinking, most of the time it is not about you. Beauty comes in many different forms.

l am not overweight, but l am by no means tiny, & conpared to one of my best friends, who weighs about 115 lbs, l feel gigantic. Everyday during lunch, l did't like to eat unless she was eating too, & l generally got less food than her, just so l wo not feel like a pig. And thats how one of my friends acts with me. She does not like to eat unless l am eating as well, because she is scared of what people would think by looking at her. Yes, it is normal to think, especially if u r self cautious. Everybody goes through this at one point in time, & eventually they get over it as well. It may just take time till u r comfortable enough to realize it does not matter what other think or say, as long as you're healthy.

it is normal to think about everything in life. Just do not get caught up by it. Who cares what other people think. As long as your happy it really does not matter. And it is probably all in your head so do not it distract you.

And if you're not happy and want to lose weightpreferably have to eat something perferably healthy i.e., fruit and salad because it is not good/healthy to not eat at all.

Hi Sweets,
l do not believe that people think that, cause if they do they are very very low life form.
Eating only at home actually makes your weight problem worse then eating small meals during the day.
You are a person and as soon as you start to like and respect who you are the least amount of time will you think about what others think.
Remember, you are a Individual with all the world to explore and life for.

l am also overweight and yes it is l am 38 and still hate to eat in front of people because l think there staring at me but there nit there just as worried that you think there eating like a pig or there to skinny or do they look funny cheer up hold ur head high and no your the best you you can be because god made you that way and your perfect in his eyes
