It depends on how bad the head injury was. l do not know if this is what u mean, but for people who suffer very serious head injuries, otherwise known as a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), yes, changes in personality r quite common. Symptoms include not being able to function in the manner of which the person used to prior to the injury, anger outbursts, difficulty controlling emotions, difficulty concentrating/focusing, flat affect, & sometimes difficulties relating to other people. This can be very frustrating for people with a TB l & they often need a great deal of support. They r also usually treated with anti-depressants, as well as drugs like Neurontin, (which is actually in the anti-convulsant category to control seizures, but it triples as a mood stabilizers, as well as proving some relief for nerve pain). l hope this helps!
