There r more inexpensive therapist costs than others. Do some deep researching on the net! But yes, they do usually help. However, l never really saw a therapist l saw a specialist that just helped me in high school. It was as simple as her asking me a lot of questions & helping me connect the branches to find out the root of my own problems. It does not really necessarily have to be something very expensive, but time consuming yes though well worth it. There r many options out there, u just have to look into it. Good luck!

it depends on YOU. but YES it really can. the trick is to use the right therapist, there r many different kinds of therapy. but u really have to be open minded & WANT to change. a therapist wont fix u with a snap of the fingers, it requires patience & commitment.

sometimes, though l hate to admit it though, it just does not work.

oh, & to the person that said therapy doesnt work but to cut ur hair & keep a journal. erm, thats PART of therapy?! its called positive association, thigns like that r associated with behavioural therapy. so yeah, if u think thats good try going to a behavioural therapist.

It definitely works iv been through three years of it. same reason for depression. its awkward at first but after a while it gets better. Also you should find one your insurance covers

l assume it does help some people. You never know until you try.Personally, l have been to different therapists for 13 years (as required by my doc to receive my meds) and felt it somewhat a waste of times. But Im difficult, and there have been sessions that actually made me feel better. l think the key is knowing what you want from the therapy instead of grudgingly going as l do. Give it a try at least once.

l did not for me, but l think everyone responds differently. The best you can do is try it, and if you find that it is not helping then forget it. l personally find writing things down helps. Even if not at that moment, it helps to look back when you can have a clear head to think about things.

For me, it REALLY helped. You find yourself telling the therapist things u never thought you'd tell anyone & since it is totally confidential u have no worries & it feels so much better after just getting it all off ur chest. l know it sounds cliche but it is really how it went with me. Even when you're not talking about something that is seriously troubling you, it feels good to just have someone who will sit & listen to u without judging you.

They're also good for when u need people around u to understand ur mental state. They can provide ur boss (or whatever authority u have to report to) with authentic examination of ur mental state so that u can get the support u need from ur work place.

Yes, this can be very helpful. Some people do not respond to just medications & it can take a long time to get the right meds at the right dosage. Most people need 2-3 weeks on any one particular med to gauge the results.
Always take this class of drugs exactly as prescribed. Never more or less & also when u r supposed to. It is the only way to get what u need at the correct dosage.
Ask ur current doctor to refer u to a specialist or find ur own thru other referrals.

So much of therapy depends on ur particapation & ur attitude. You must be open & willing to particapate.
