My mom took me to the doctor because l was just feeling really sad and anxious and weird. The doctor recommended me to a therapist person. l do not wanna go. I am not crazy. l wanna feel better, but l just do not wanna go. Would it honestly even help me? How can l just talk openly to a stranger like that? If l decide to go, what do l talk about? How I am paranoid that everyone hates me even though l have no evidence to prove that they do not like me? How l get nervous when too many people look at me? How I am not at all suicidal but l have thought about what it would be like to die? How l may just have an eating disorder? How l have weird OCD habits? How l cry almost every day for no decent reason? Where would l tell my friends that I've been if they wanna do something while l have a session or whatever? I am just so sad all the time. l do not wanna be like this. Would therapy help? Should l go?

Therapy does work, I've been and it helps so much! You think talking to a complete stranger is crazy and you could not tell her a thing, and yet once you see her or him a couple times maybe more, it is awesome! It might take a while for you to totally trust her but just give it a shot for a couple of times!!

l totally agree with walkaway. l too see a therapist & it does help & yes, everything that u asked if u should talk about u should & can. The best thing about a therapist is that they r not there to judge or to tell u ur feelings r not valid. Sometimes when we confide in friends or family they see us as wonderful because they love us & they just can not get why we feel depressed or anxious & they tell us everything is ok or not to feel this or that way. They come from a good place & they mean well but sometimes that is not what we need. We need someone we can talk to that is objective, does not judge & can help us get down to the bottom of why we feel a certain way & help lead us get on the road to accepting ourselves.
