l feel so depressed. It is getting close to my friends birthday, just after mine in November, she died in a wreck almost 3 years ago, and it still eats at me. Plus recently my husband lost his job due to the mass lay offs here in Ohio. I am facing a surgery and so is he. l have alot of stress going on right now, and have has for months now. l was on Zoloft for 2 months and it did nothing for me. l even tried changing diet and sleep patterns, l still feel this way. We've taken ''get-aways'' and nothing, l feel this way still. l really feel miserable! What can l do?

Puppies and hobbies pretty much solve anything, puppies not your thing? get a kitten. basically distract yourself and look on the bright side, you're still alive and have many more days ahead of you. you get one life, do not waste it.

You may want to seek inpatient treatment at a mental health facility. Now do not jump to conclusions. l work on a psych unit and l see more depressions and mood disorder is than anything. A few days with the proper treatment around the clock could be a good start for your problems. l strongly suggest it.

l also gets depressed some times and finds no body to share it,then after pray to God l starts talking to my God l know that he is listening to me and he loves me very much and he will do very good for me in future then lots of previligeds starts to come to my mind that my sweet God gaves me in past so after it l srarts thanking him and my depression goes away you can also try it very simple God bless you.

From personal experience, l recommend getting another antidepressant. Most antidepressants take 6-8 weeks before u start to ''feel'' the meds working. Speak to ur doctor, ask for another prescription. Get some counseling. Alot of people r ashamed to seek counseling, but let me tell you, it is the best thing I've done for myself. You have alot going on right now. It is hard for u to handle & deal with. l do not blame you. In the meantime, do something that makes u feel content. Something that will take ur mind of things. Exercise. Seriously, it gets the endorphins flowing & ur heart pumping. It will help u feel better.

Surround yourself by good people. Find a good church, if u do not have one. If u r feeling really depressed, u probably need to talk about it. Find a good friend who will listen. Do not stay at home, get out & do something & take time for yourself. You can not change the past & although we do not like some of it, things do happen for a reason. l am sure that ur friend would not want u to sit around & be depressed. There is a good chance that Zoloft hurt u instead of helping you. It is not a good drug & it makes depressed people feel like they r now crazy. It may take time for the chemicals from that to pass through ur system. Try melatonin for sleep. l use it & it really helps & it is all natural. You can buy it over the counter. Hope this helps a little.

Try Prozac. It really works for me. l am slightly depressed too, because of slow economics times. l hardly have money to spend on nice things like l use too. Or U can talk to God and tell him this '' Please, God, if U can hear me, give my husband a new job'' .you will be surprise at the fast results.

Ask your doctor about Celexa. It acts quicker than most anti-depressants and with fewer side effects. My husband takes it as we are a blended family and he was feeling VERY overwhelmed and he just raves about it the progress he has had on it.

Also, just keep your fingers crossed regarding the election! Lord knows if Obama gets in we will both need to be HEAVILY medicated :)
